As I waited at Princeton University Hospital for the birth of my grandson, Sharon, the nurse, chatted happily. After a while, the conversation turned to dating and she confided in me that she had just started dating a Latino man. She really enjoyed her company and wanted to make a good impression on her.
She hoped that my Latin heritage would give her an idea of her personality. Sharon wanted to make a real impression on her new boyfriend. She was a bit shy and a slow approach was what she was looking for.
I reviewed three important key areas in the Latino relationship:
