Some great apartment storage ideas

We know the common scenario: garbage is piling up and space is running out. We have all been through this routine countless times and have lived in an apartment with all of this. trash It can be challenging when looking for places to store things.

You can only store a limited amount in your closet before the door breaks off its hinges. It’s time to stop boxing things in your closet and use some of these creative storage and organization ideas to help you keep your junk under control.

Wall shelves– Take small storage pieces like a two-shelf shoe organizer and attach them to the wall to create wall shelves that can easily house books, collectibles, and other small conversation items.

Mobile storage unit– Find a cheap multi-tier plastic storage shelf and put some easy-to-fit casters or casters on the bottom. Add a few small bins and / or bins to those shelves and all of a sudden you have a rolling organization masterpiece ideal for storing shoes, socks and underwear, tools, and other small items.

Storage bench– This is my favorite storage idea! Basically get yourself an old top kitchen cabinet or even buy a new one from Home Depot. Add a few feet to the bottom and place the seat cushions on top. Suddenly, you have an incredible piece of furniture to sit on with storage space under the seat.

Stacked bench shelving– How about this: Stack three simple colored wooden benches on top of each other against a wall. Place a grandfather clock on top and line each bottom bench with books like a bookshelf. Be sure to add a wall attachment bracket and, viola, you have a standing bookcase.

Organized entry– When you enter your apartment, think about all the garbage you bring. From coats and hats to phones, mail and key chains, the amount of stuff you bring with you and empty out of your pockets far outweighs the garbage that comes out. Therefore, keep everything near the entrance. Cover the entryway walls with hooks for hanging coats, keys, and hats. Install a small shoe organizer to keep those muddy foot pieces on the linoleum floor. Install some hanging drawers and a wall shelf to store mail, tax write-off receipts, and other small pieces that get lost elsewhere in the apartment. Add a piggy bank or jar of fresh change to the mix to cut off all the spare change that is flushing out of your pockets. Lastly, place a small, tasteful trash can near the door to dispose of candy wrappers, unnecessary receipts, and other trash before it enters your den.

If you have some organizational issues and your apartment is cluttered with random items of garbage that enter your home every day, try some of these organizing ideas. The organized entryway and storage bench really improved my life and lifestyle. If you can only try one pair. Try those!
