If you’ve been playing World of Warcraft for a while, then you’ve probably come across mention of the infamous Gold Dupe Hack, which is claimed to double the WoW gold you have. Well, I have been searching for a long time and just like a lot of other WoW cheats that are fake, I have come to the conclusion that there is no legit Gold dupe cheat for World of Warcraft either.

It sounds like one may have existed at some point a couple of years ago (although the evidence is dubious at best), but Blizzard has patched holes in its gaming software that would have allowed that kind of vulnerability anyway, so if it really existed, it certainly doesn’t work anymore. Therefore, anyone who offers to send you a fake gold hack is, in all likelihood, actually sending you a keylogger.

A keylogger is basically a Trojan horse or virus that captures the information you are entering and transmits it to someone else. This is how World of Warcraft scammers steal accounts and gold from WoW players. The easiest players to cheat and steal from are the greedy ones. So when you think about it, the golden dupe cheat has a perfect name, because Dupe is the player who downloads one. Be careful to avoid downloading so-called “WoW cheats” on torrent networks. I can guarantee that he will download some kind of virus instead of the mythical script that he expects to find.

There are easier ways to get more gold in your account. There are several different WoW gold guides available that explain all the shortcuts and best strategies to use to get gold faster and none of them involved cheats, hacks, or bots of any kind. The time you spend fruitlessly searching for a real gold cheat could be spent using some of the strategies to quickly amass your own gold legitimately without the threat of being banned by Blizzard or someone else breaking into your account.
