Stompa Casa Bunk Beds!

Stompa Casa bunk beds are one of the latest ranges of bunk bed designs that Stompa has produced in the last 2-3 years. It’s a difficult situation to assess, because based purely on the logistics of their design, they’re actually much more akin to a captain’s bed than a bunk bed.

A captain’s bed is essentially a standard single bed that is raised a foot to a meter off the ground, so that the space under the bed can be utilized; in the vast majority of cases it is used for storage, but there are many other possibilities.

The Casa Bunk Bed range is similar to the Captain beds in that they are raised from the ground with space below that is used for a variety of things depending on which bed in the range you choose. There are six different Casa layouts and they more closely resemble captain’s beds raised from the ground to the height of a standard bunk, and thus create much more space underneath compared to a captain’s bed which tends to be much closer. ground. Fact is, they don’t have a second lower bunk, so like I said, they’re much more similar to the Captain’s bed.

All Stompa Casa bunk beds have some similar features, the first being a ladder placed diagonally across the top corner of the bed. This allows a lamp holder to extend from the bottom bunk, connecting to the ladder within the space provided by the diagonal placement, although it can be used for a glass of water, anything really. The top bunk also has small wooden shelves that allow books or other items to be stored within easy reach. One of the fundamental problems with bunk beds is that they are designed in such a way that they tend to be against the wall, and cabinets next to the bed tend to be non-existent when it comes to easy placement. At best, only the bottom bunk could have a nightstand, but this can be dangerous considering the location of the ladder.

All Casa beds have a space underneath, but depending on what you buy, determine what is inside the space. The first bed in the range has a sofa around 2/3 of the area of the entire bottom space, with an open space for the last 1/3 with that 1/3 at the end of the bed away from the stairs. I’d say this is the most basic of all the beds, and the price reflects this at around $1300, but it’s by no means cheap! The open space can be used to put whatever you want, you can leave it free or add your own furniture, it’s totally plausible because there’s a decent amount of unused space.

The second model in the range is similar to the first; plus it has a blue color scheme instead of pink. This does not mean that all hardwood is colored, but there are specific panels that are. Where this one is different is that instead of having the last 1/3 of the bottom segment empty, you have a desk with a fancy half-circle bookcase on the side facing out. The desk can house a television, a computer, or just be a standard work desk. The bookshelf can easily hold dozens of books and substantially increases storage capabilities.

The third Stompa bed is the same as the second, apart from two critical differences. While the second version has bare hardwood, this one is painted a standard white color, but I know from experience that you can get most standard colors painted on wood. It also has the same semi-circular desk and bookshelf, but under the desk there are more storage boxes.

Finally the fifth bed is different from the previous two that I have handled because it has no desk at all. It has the same design as the first (including the lack of paint on the wood except for key panels such as the base and headboard), but while the first model has the bottom 1/3 of the bottom section free, this layout has storage. boxes and bookcases that allow for much more storage space than all other beds!

The price of these beds gradually increases as you progress through the series, from $1,300 to $1,900. Unfortunately, I cannot give completely accurate prices because the cost of these beds varies from provider to provider. Also, some providers include postage and packaging in the price, and others do not, and this would distort the final price! Do your homework!
