History of Louis Vuitton – From 1893 to 1936

After the death of old Louis, George introduced LV to the international brand. In 1893, George exhibited Louis Vuitton products at the World’s Fair in Chicago. The brands were then officially launched in the United States. After that, George devoted all his energy to improving the international reputation of the brand. In 1894, he published the book “Journey”.

In 1896, the LV company launched a branded feature design, known as the “monogram canvas.” The style of this canvas design used many symbols and the label of “LV”. Later George went to America, traveling to New York, Philadelphia and Chicago and other big cities to spread LV products.

At the beginning of the last century – 1900, George received the power to organize and design the model of “travel goods and leather goods” at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. In 1901, the LV company officially launched the “bad steamer”, which has a very small space and can be placed in LV luggage.

In 1904, George served as president of the World’s Fair in St. Louis. In the same year, Louis Vuitton introduced a new series of suitcases. The interior design added some storage units for people to put perfume, clothes, and other items.

In 1914, the LV mansion which was located on the Champs-Elysées was completed. At that time, it was the largest leather sales center in the world. Before the outbreak of World War I, LV branches were continually opened in New York, Mumbai, Washington DC, London, Alexandria, Buenos Aires and other places.

In 1924, a new bag called the “Keepall” was released to the public. This bag led the trend for waterproof travel bags. It was only suitable for short trips as it could hold a small number of essential items.

In 1931, LV began to introduce the exotic color of design, which included crocodile skin bags, elephant bags, etc. These designs were highly praised by people at the colonial exhibition.

In 1932, the Louis Company launched the “Noe bag”. The main consumer of this evil was the champagne brewers who used them to store and store the champagne.

In 1933, the LV sport series bags appeared.

In 1936, George passed away. His death marked the end of the golden age of Louis Vuitton. George has designed and launched a total of over 700 new products, most of which have been highly successful. After George’s death, his son Juston inherited the family business.
