This two day advanced course is designed to help you further your skills and knowledge with injectables and is suited to Nurses, Dentists, Doctors, or GPs who have completed a basic wrinkle relaxers course and have experience in performing injectables treatments. The advanced course includes a more in-depth training in a range of cosmetic injectables course Sydney including advanced techniques in the use of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. You will also be provided with the opportunity to practice on a variety of pre-assessed advanced models, allowing you to perform up to 10 treatments per day.

The course is led by a cosmetic trainer who will provide you with extensive hands-on practical training in advanced treatment areas, allowing you to learn more complex and refined techniques in addition to learning how to recognise the potential risks of complications for each of the treatment areas. The course will also cover facial anatomy and the advanced techniques involved in using blunt cannulas, achieving different planes for filler deposition and how to assess each patient in order to plan and deliver safe and effective aesthetic treatments.

During the course you will learn how to correctly prepare and administer various types of injectables and the importance of infection control. You will also gain experience in assessing and treating a range of patients under the supervision of an experienced trainer and in the presence of a dermatologist to support your development and build your confidence. The course will conclude with a final written assessment, as well as a clinical case study submission and a live model assessment.

To undertake the 52852WA Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables, you will need to have a university qualification and be registered with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse or Nurse Practitioner (Division 2 Nurse). You must have the ability to effectively assess a client using skin analysis tools such as a dermatoscope and/or a woods lamp.

During the four day practical component of the cosmetic injectables course, students will apply their theoretical knowledge to real paying clients at our Aspire Training Clinics in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney or at Grayclay Medical Aesthetics on the Gold Coast. You will work on a real paying client, taking them through a full consultation and treatment process to include booking the appointment, conducting a medical history, discussing the procedure and its benefits, obtaining consent, providing a detailed treatment plan and finally undertaking the actual injectables treatment. Each session will be supervised at a ratio of 1 trainer to 2 students.
