Now this year, slated for an October 1st release date, we have a new era in the pipeline called Future Soldier. This game already has quite a bit of drama surrounding it. For one, in January 2009 they had originally planned to release this game in early 2010, but the date was pushed back. This is common in the gaming world, so there’s nothing really new here. Then the Australian Ratings Board revealed that Ubisoft had trademarked the name Ghost Recon: Predator, so everyone thought that was the new name for the upcoming title. However, a discovery in December 2009 revealed that the Future Soldier name had been trademarked by Ubisoft. In January 2010, the company finally confirmed that Future Soldier would, in fact, be the official name of the next game in this addictive series.

What does this new game add to the Tom Clancy collection? Well, you’re basically a new generation of soldiers. Described as an “F-16 on legs” by the creators, you’re armed to the teeth with all the latest weaponry. You are an elite member of GR who possesses the power, adaptability, and cognitive strength of the future soldier. So of course they give that soldier the missions that no one else can handle. In the gameplay trailer, you can see that one of the best features you possess is the ability to camouflage yourself and blend in with the environment around you. Other features include multiplayer, of course, and various options built into the multiplayer aspect of the game.
