Why upgrade your ATV or motorcycle?

Upgrade what you already have for practical reasons.

Maybe you like your ride the way it is, but it doesn’t meet your needs. You can add racks or cargo boxes, fenders or saddlebags to your ATV and to many motorcycles. Use them to carry anything from fishing and hunting supplies to your lunch. The size of your vehicle will determine how much additional storage you can add. Some larger motorcycles even have their own luggage containers.

You can also upgrade individual stock parts for better vehicle performance and longer life. Maybe you want to upgrade your bike’s exhaust system, so you don’t wake up the neighbors when you leave for work in the morning. The list of upgrades you can add to your bike or ATV is extensive: winches, tires, wheels, mirrors, pretty much everything.

Improve what you have for reasons of vanity.

Driving is fun, even when driving for the most utilitarian reasons. So upgrading your ride can make it even more fun. Let’s say you want to ride more aggressively. New wheels and shocks on your current ATV or bike can create a completely different feel, like a new bike but at a much lower price.

Maybe you love the look of your ATV or motorcycle so much that you want to customize it. These are sexy vehicles and individualizing them makes them an extension of ourselves. Maybe you want chrome wheels on your ATV or other chrome lights. Or a rear spoiler on your touring bike adds a special touch. Even a unique paint job can be a significant upgrade if it makes you happy. The only limit is your imagination. Well, maybe your imagination and budget.

Or actually move to another model for these same reasons.

If you can afford it, buying a new ATV or motorcycle is an exciting time in any rider’s life. But there is still that internal practical versus personal argument.

We recommend the same thing for new ATV drivers: start small and grow with your experience. But if you’ve been riding for a while and are more confident, maybe you’re ready for something with more power for better performance. Increases adrenaline rush.

From a practical standpoint, you may need a different ATV or motorcycle because your needs have changed. Let’s say you need a bigger ATV with towing capacity and more room because you bought a bigger piece of land and need to do more chores. Or maybe you’ve changed jobs and an extra half-hour commute every day would make it more comfortable for you to ride lower in the saddle than your current bike offers.

Regardless of the reasons, you can talk to your local Honda Ontario Power dealer about your circumstances and get ideas for upgrading.
